OREM- Levi Reese Thomas, 73, 653 N. 800 East, died Wednesday at 11:45 p.m. at Utah Valley Hospital, Provo, following a six-month illness.

Born Jan. 1, 1886, Scofield, Carbon County, to Griffith and Dina Reese Thomas. Married Nellie Banner March 20, 1909, Price. Later solemnized in Manti Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Employed as a miner. Moved to Orem in 1955.

Survivors: widow; sons, daughters, Levi William, Hiawatha, Carbon County; Griffith, Ogden; Cyril, Orem; Glen, Lyman, Wyo.; Mrs. Thomas S. (Vest) Gourdin, Orem; Mrs. C.P. (Ellen) Cameron, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Raymond (Thelma) Madrid, Hiawatha, Carbon County; Mrs. Thomas L. (Nellie) Everley, Layton; 24 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four sisters.

Funeral Saturday, 11 a.m. Orem Second Ward chapel. Friends call Berg Mortuary, Orem, Friday, 6-8 p.m., and Saturday prior to services. Burial, Price City Cemetery.
