Mr. John M. Cox, of Greenville died suddenly Friday night, July 12, at the Brandon Mill village.

He was born near Westminster 49 years ago, being a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John L. Cox.

His parents and two brothers, Burt and Charlie, preceded him to the grave.

Mr. Cox had resided in Greenville many years.

His widow, who survives, was formerly Miss Mamie Smith of near Pelzer.

Four sons and four daughters survive.

His sisters and brothers are Mrs. Pearl McCoy, of Easley; Mrs. G. M. Barnett, Mrs. H. M. Lee and Miss Eugenia Cox, of Westminster; Messrs. H. M. andJesse Cox, of Westminster; Ed Cox, of Atlanta, Ga., and William Cox, of Kilgore, Texas. Mr. E.P. Cox and Misses Rozzie and Nettie Cox, of Westminster, are uncle and aunts of the deceased.

The funeral services were held at Brandon Baptist church of Greenville Sunday afternoon with interment following in the Pleasant Hill cemetery, four miles north of Westminster.
