Joseph Tyree Sneed, IV, 55, of Cameron, died Saturday, July 14, 2012, in a car accident near Navasota, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, July 20, in the chapel of Green-Patterson Funeral Home with Father Walter Matus officiating. Burial will follow in the Sneed Cemetery.
Joseph was born in Ithaca, New York, to Joseph and Madelyn Sneed III, and was an attorney at law. Mr. Sneed graduated from the University of Texas in Austin, and later graduated from the University of Texas law school. Mr. Sneed had practiced in Austin for the past twenty years as a civil litigation and trial lawyer.
Survivors include his wife, Aminda, of Cameron; son, Joseph Tyree Sneed, V, of Brownsville; daughter, Kimberley Ryan Miller, of Marshall; granddaughter, Bridgette Amelia Ryan, of Marshall; sisters, Carly Fiorina, of Washington, D.C., and Clara Sneed, of Berkeley, CA; nephew, Sam Berzon, of Berkeley, California; mother-in-law, Irma Walk, of Brownsville; other relatives and many friends.
