John L. Clark, of Taylorville, passed away in St. Vincent's Hospital in the early Saturday morning of Oct. 22, 1938, after undergoing a minor operation Friday afternoon. He was 19 years old.
The South Fork township farmer was admitted to the hospital to undergo a nose operation that was not considered to be serious. Death was a result of acute dilation of the heart.
Preceded in death by his father, Dawson Clark in 1931, he is survived by his mother, Alice Clark; two brother's, Vernon and Andrew Clark; and a sister, Mrs. Herbert Patton of Taylorville.
Service in St. Michael's church in South Fork township with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
