HANCOCK - Velma L. Entler Kirby, 74, of Pennsylvania Avenue, died Friday, May 27, 2005, at Washington County Hospital.
Born July 14, 1930, in Frostburg, Md., she was the daughter of the late George Marshall and Catherine Mercer Entler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Kirby, in 1975.
She was a 1948 graduate of Beall High School in Frostburg.
She had been employed by Fairchild Industries in Hagerstown.
She is survived by five daughters, Katherine Laffey of Cabin John, Md., Cynthia Reeser of Shepherdstown, W.Va., Eileen Kirby of Stevensville, Md., Elizabeth Hunsinger of Knoxville, Tenn., and Lisa McMillan of Frostburg; one son, Robert Kirby of Hancock; one sister, Jean Gevaudan of Arnold, Md.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, Hancock. Burial will be in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Frostburg.
