DARLINGTON, SC - Emma "Ruth" Broach Sandifer, 64, wife of the late Johnnie Sandifer, Sr., died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 in a Florence hospital after an illness. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 21, 2012 in the Chapel of Kistler Hardee Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Kistler Hardee Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 665 Gilchrist Road, Darlington.

Ruth was born in Darlington County. She was the daughter of the late Marion L. Broach, Sr. and Myrtle Mae Dutton Broach. Ruth was a member of the Darlington Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Liston Broach, Jack Broach, Paul Broach and sisters, Mary Ellen Broach Norwood, Doris Broach Burbage and Jeanette Broach O'Neal Funderburk.

She is survived by her daughter, Jamie Sandifer (Frankie) Kersey of Latta; her sons, Johnnie Sandifer, Jr. and Jeffrey Sandifer of Darlington; her grandchildren, Tyler (Chelsy) Sandifer of Darlington; Jessica Sandifer of Chesterfield; Hannah Grace Kersey of Latta; Christopher (Ginger) Kersey of Latta; and Justin Kersey of Florence; her great grandchildren, Madison and Raylen Kersey of Latta. ; her sister, Betty Broach Taylor of Darlington; her brothers, Arthur (Myrtle) Broach of Darlington; and Robert (Pam) Broach of Warren, Michigan; her three sisters-in-law, Joan Broach; Brenda Broach both of Darlington; and Robin Broach of Bamberg; her brothers and sisters in-law, Paul and Phyllis Sandifer of Bamberg; Ray and Mary Sandifer Hayes of Bamberg; Louise Sandifer Price of Bamberg; and Shirley Sandifer Cook of Fayetteville, Georgia. Many special Nieces and Nephews that she loved very much and a special friend, Connie Kimery of Cheraw; and a very special neighbor, James Edward Cooper of Darlington.
