JOAN CAROLE MONTGOMERY was born in Front Royal, Warren County, VA to the late Wayne Henry Montgomery and Irene Hefler Montgomery and was the grandaughter of the late William Henry and Carrie Montgomery.

She attended public schools in Warren County, VA and was a popular and beloved member of the Warren County High School Class of 1957. This beautiful blonde was crowned "Miss Warren County of 1957" in her senior year at Warren County High School.

At some point in time, Joan made her home in Charleston, South Carolina prior to moving to Arizona.

Joan was a Sales Associate with Brokerage House and also worked as Chief Deputy of Yavapai County Records Office from 1971-1978.

Joan died on 3 Feb 1989 at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, AZ. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dale Rice, a daughter, Jocelyn Dawn Boland of Aiken, S. C. and one son William King Bailey, Jr. of Prescott, AZ, as well as her sister, Sharon Delanoy of Prescott, and a brother Wayne Montgomery, of Palm Dale, CA, together with numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were held on Monday Feb 6, 1989 at 2PM in the Victorian Chapel of the Hampton Funeral Home in Prescott, AZ. Her cremains were scattered over one of the 43 mountain summits and peaks in Prescott, Arizona.
