He resided in West Virginia prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on August 21, 1943 in Huntington, West Virginia. He was noted, at the time of his enlistement, as being employed in the extraction of minerals and also as Married.

Willie was "Killed In Action" during the war and was awarded the Purple Heart.
