Mrs. Vyrtrice Banks Walker, age 87, of Douglas passed away early Tuesday morning, July 17, 2012, at Summers Landing, following an extended illness. A native of Barrow County Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Preston Banks and the late Mattie Wheeler Banks. She was also preceded by her husband, James Randall Walker and two sisters Quinola Taylor and Euna Mae Hobby.

Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Peggy (Gene) Woods of Douglas,Ga., and La-Jaun (Scott) Parsons of Douglasville, Ga., 1 Son: Keith (Judy) Walker of Douglas, Ga., 1 Step-Son: Jimmy (Nadine) Walker of Statesboro, Ga. ,1 Brother: Talmadge (Evelyn) Banks of Douglas, Ga., 17 Grandchildren, 38 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Other Relatives.

Funeral Services were Thursday, July 19,2012, at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home, with Rev. Marty Wilkes officiating. The Interment will follow in the Satilla Memorial Gardens.
