One of the 143 victims of the Big Thompson Canyon flood on the night of July 31, 1976. A native of Greeley, he graduated from Greeley Central High School, and was employed as a drywall contractor in Cheyenne, Wyo. He was married to Tanya Denise Zimmerman on June 7, 1975, in Greeley. He attended the Greeley Baptist Temple. His wife Tanya Carlson also died in the flood. He was survived by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Gerald Carlson, and three brothers.
