Mrs. Elmer N. Nelson, 72, died early Friday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had been a patient the past three weeks. She had recently been a resident of Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, the Rev. Edmund E. Olson, pastor of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Nelson was born Caroline Arneson, Dec. 29, 1893 at Sturgeon Bay. She attended school in Door County and was married to Elmer M. Nelson, June 25, 1910. The couple resided at Sturgeon Bay until 1926, then at Two Rivers for 10 years and at Manitowoc since 1936.
Survivors included a son, Virgil, of Manitowoc; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (LaVerne) Schultz of Two Rivers and Mrs. Frank (Merley) Hack of Manitowoc; a brother, Raymond; three sisters, Selma of Florida; Mrs. Ralph Newton of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Mrs. Henry Miller of Sturgeon Bay; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death in 1948. A daughter, Ethel, also preceded her in death.
Friends may call after 6 o'clock this Friday evening at the funeral home until the hour of service.
