"Mrs Mabel O Higley, 79, of Townville, RD 1, died Thursday morning at her home after an extended illness. She was born in Sparta Township on Aug 26, 1892, the daughter of Charles and Bessy Alan Sherlock. On Oct 10, 1916, she married Thomas Higley, who survives along with two sons, Charles Perry of Pleasantville and Leo Higley of Cambridge Springs. One stepdaughter, Mrs Jesse Curry of Conneaut Lake, 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one brother, Lloyd Sherlock of Corry, and one sister, Mrs Myrtle Childs of Brocton, NY, also survive. Friends may call at the H Richard Hays Funeral Home in Spartansburg...and attend the funeral service there Saturday at 2 pm. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Spartansburg."
