Beulah loved being part of the first South Cottonwood LDS Ward and its history. She graduated from Granite High School, where she met Vaughn. She won a typing contest featured on Stevens-Henager Business College calendar, worked as a secretary, and served as secretary to LDS church groups.
She and Vaughn were married in 1947. After the birth of their two children, Diana and Paul, they built their second house, where she lived thereafter, next door to her parents. She shared her Mother's china painting interest, and her home was decorated with pretty china and dolls. She and Vaughn enjoyed raising and preserving the family's food, making their corner of the desert "blossom like a rose." After Vaughn's death in 1989, she continued to play a key role in the neighborhood families. She had many close friends with whom she enjoyed "gallivanting," social events, genealogy and temple work.
Beulah is survived by her children, Diana (Joel) Twede Lichty, of East Lansing, Michigan and Paul (Diana Bond) Twede; and grandchildren, Alex and Paige. Grandma loved us very much, and we will miss her deeply.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012, at 11 a.m., at the Brownstone LDS Ward, 725 E. 6410 S. A viewing will be Thursday night from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, and Friday morning at the church from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
