Eunice was the daughter of James and Eliza Baker. She was a native of Ohio, and at one time lived in Mahaska County, Iowa. Her first marriage, between 1870 and 1875, was to John Dodge. Assume they divorced.

About 1876 she married David Breakville/Brakeville. David was a veteran of the Civil War, and a widow with three children (Julia, Charles, Viola).

David and Eunice lived in Fulton County and Calhoun County, Illinois, before settling in Morgan County. They had four known children, all born in Illinois: Dora May (Moon), Frank Augustus "Gus", Emma (Allmond), and David Ordell.

Eunice died in 1920 at the age of 66 years. Her Illinois Death Records states her name as Eunice Brakeville.

According to her obit, she married David Brakeville in 1876 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. (Actual marriage date, July 1, 1875 in Mt. Pleasant, Henry County, Iowa). They had four children: Dora, Emma, Gus, and David.

Survived by her husband David; two daughters: Mrs. Viola Rausch of Meredosia and Mrs. Emma Almond of East Alton; two sons: Gus Brakeville of Niota and David Brakeville at home; two step-children: Mrs. Julia Stokes of Oklahoma City, OK and Charles Brakeville of Niota.

Preceded in death by her first husband; two daughters: Ida (assuming surname of Colburn) and Dora Moon.
