Arista was the 2nd of two daughters, Amelia, born to George Lewelling Corey and Lydia N. Howe. George was the son of Benjamin Franklin and Ruth Tanner Corey. Benjamin was the son of Joseph and Prudence Parks Corey from Luzerne Co PA and Allegany Co NY George moved his family to SE NE, as his father and other siblings had also moved there from WI before 1870.
15 Apr 1869 Lancaster Co NE Arista married William McMurdock, we have no info beyond his name.
She is last found on the 1870 NE census living with her father as McMurdock.
1909 Father's obit lists her as Mrs. Daniels living South Dakota.
Searching for the past 6 years she has never been found as Arista Daniels on any record. As with any relative I believe no matter how small a mark they may have left they all deserve to be remembered.
I did finally find a source that lists her as marrying a George J. McDaniels...no wonder I could never find her as Daniels. They did have two children born, but neither lived.
So onto the next hard to find relative.
