William Duncan "Dunk" Anderson was the son of William Floyd Anderson and Sarah Clementine Colville.
On 23 Aug 1918, he married Amma Lee Lowrance in Hillsboro, TX. They had two children: Floyd Duncan Anderson, Sr. (1916-1993) and Nannie Louise "Lou" Anderson (1917-2008).
On 24 Nov 1918, Amma was admitted to hospital in Temple for treatment of an infected boil on her upper lip; it caused bacterial blood poisoning and she died four days later. Nannie was just 11 months old.
Following the death of Amma, 2-year old son Floyd stayed with their father; however, Nannie was adopted by her maternal aunt (Great-Aunt Nan Lowrance) and her husband (Great-Uncle George E Roberson), and took their last name.
Dunk Anderson remarried to Ada McElroy about 1920 and they had another daughter (Opal Jo) and son (Edwin Dan).
