Mrs. John Brubaker DELTA - Lulu V. Brubaker, 86, a former Delta resident, died Sunday at Jefferson Square Manor in Ottumwa. She was born June 16, 1887, near Tremont in Tazewell County, Ill., to Daniel Louis and Elizabeth Rebecca Bennett Hodgson.
She moved to Iowa at age 12, and lived west of Fremont. She married John Ernest Brubaker on March 18, 1908, at Cedar. They moved to Keokuk County near What Cheer in 1941. He died in 1951.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Lee of Fremont; and one sister, Bessie Polston of Lockwood, Mo. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
The service will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney, with the Rev. John Ballensky officiating. Burial will be in Sixteen Cemetery near What Cheer.
