BUFFALO - Carman W. Payton, 75, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by his family.
He was born August 16, 1936 in Horse Branch, KY, the son of Archie and Mamie (McDaniel) Payton, both of whom preceded him in death.
Carman retired from Tri State Wholesale Florist. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.
He is survived by 4 daughters, Pam (Jeff) Leka, Lori (Bob) Bitschenauer, Traci Wicker (companion, Heath Brown) and Melissa (Greg) Vanderfeltz; 3 brothers, Wilbur Payton, Will (Jan) Payton and Rob (Nancy) Payton; 2 sisters, Doris West and Linda Bivin; 9 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeffrey and Justin Leka, Rob (Libby) and Zach Bitschenauer, Shelbi and Chloe Wicker, Kyle Vicari and Kolton Vanderfeltz; 2 great-granddaughters, Kayleigh and Cheyanne Bishop and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from noon until time of service at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home, with Pastor Clint Cook officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded following services.
