Funeral services for Mrs. Hulda Bauer Schmidt, age 85, of Columbus were held Feb. 16 at the First Baptist Church in Columbus, Rev. Herbert Brannon and Rev. Raymond Cox officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Henneke Funeral House.
Mrs. Schmidt was born on Feb. 8, 1900 In Post Oak, Texas. She was born to Henry & Wilimeana Doss Bauer. She was married to Fred R. Schmidt on Dec. 24, 1916 In East Bernard. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She Is survived by her daughters Mrs. Irene Wristen of Columbus and Mrs. N. L. (Annie) Collins of Wisconsin; by her sons Toxie Lee Schmidt, Houma La., and Richard C. Schmidt of Columbus; sister, Mrs. Lee Dungen of Columbus, and brother Henry Bauer of Houston. Also, 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Robert F. Schmidt.
Pallbearers were James Holiday, Cody Reynolds, Gene Allen Schmidt. Dan Perales, Jerry Tallas, and Bobby Webb. Burial was in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery.
