Mrs. Roy Stanberry Dies at Havre
Mrs. Roy (Minnie L.) Stanberry, 65, a resident of Rudyard, died Sunday, March 17, at a Havre hospital. Funeral services were at Holland and Bonine Funeral Home with Pastor Lawrence Thompson of Rudyard officiating. Music accompaniment was by Mrs. Don Blake with Mrs. Bruce Packer and Mrs. Jack Lincoln singing "In the Garden" and "Take Me to Thy Sacred Heart." Pallbearers were Ben Brandbury Sr., Donald Blake, Alvin Barbie, Walter Greeno, Orville Love and Earl Rathbun.
Mrs. Stanberry was born June 7, 1902, at Waukon, Iowa. She spent her early childhood in Glenville, Minn., moving to Montana with her parents in 1912. She married Roy Stanberry June 7, 1930, at Havre. The couple resided in Hingham then moved to the Minneota community in the fall of 1932. They moved into Rudyard in the fall of 1945.
Mrs. Stanberry worked in the Rudyard public schools for 15 years until her retirement in May of 1967.
Survivors include her husband, three sons, Elwin Stanberry of Rudyard, Raymond Stanberry of Joplin and Melvin Stanberry of Seattle; one daughter, Mrs. Jerry Hybner of Rudyard; three sisters, Mrs. Dortha Naber of Great Falls, Mrs. Wilma Ball of McGill, Nev., and Mrs. Charles (Maxine) Naber of Havre, 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Mrs. Stanberry was a Past Grand of Rebakah Lodge No. 98 and a past Senior Regent of the Women of the Moose 681 of Havre.
Interment was in Highland Cemetery in Havre.
