Bloomer Advance Apr 8, 1937:
Ernestine Henrietta Paruschke was born in Germany on April 2, 1856 and came to America when 20 years of age. Two years later, on Dec 7, 1877 she was joined in marriage to Mr. August Wudtke (his name was Johann August) at Ripon, Wis. Soon after their marriage they came to Bloomer and lived on a farm north of the city for 50 years.
Mr. Wudtke died several years ago and she has made her home with her children most of the time since his death, much of the time with her sons near Chetek.
Mrs. Wudtke was the mother of six children, three of whom have preceded her in death: Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Mrs. F. P. Hanke; and Mrs. Peter Peterson. Surviving are August and William Wudtke of Chetek and one daughter Mrs. Ernest Bethel, also 18 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, two brothers, William Zieman of South Range, Wis., and Fred A Zieman of Bloomer.
She died on Monday night March 29 at the home of her son William near Chetek instead of at the home of August as was stated in last week's Advance.
Funeral services were held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in this city on Thursday afternoon of last week with interment beside the grave of her husband in the Brace cemetery (another name for Pleasant Valley) north of town near her old home. Rev. Geo. T. Fisher officiated.
