Mrs. John B. Carbaugh
Mrs. John B. Carbaugh, 1015 Merchant, died at 7:20 o'clock this morning at her home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Roberts-Blue chapel. The Rev. Clyde B. Clark, pastor of the First Methodist church, in charge. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery.
Ida Belle Askew, daughter of the late Franklin Askew and Julia Seybold, was born August 31, 1867, in Baylis, Ill. She married John B. Carbaugh in Fairweather, Ill., March 31, 1885, and they moved to Lyon county in 1904. The move to Emporia was made in 1916. Mr. Carbaugh died November 23, 1934. She is survived by one son, Dr. Kenneth W. Carbaugh, Mission; three daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Fawn) Nelson, Kimberly, Idaho; Mrs. William W. (Freda) Bonar, Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Lucille Mordy, Manhattan; two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Hylton, Tonkawa, Okla.; Mrs. Nora Long, Rockford, Ill.; one nephew, Clarence Askew, 612 Chestnut, Emporia; four granddaughters and four grandsons.
Mrs. Carbaugh was a member of the First Methodist church, the Royal Neighbors and Auxiliary to the Rural Mail Carriers.

Joyce Escue Culver sent the following information: I believe this is Ida B (Askew)Carbaugh, born abt 1868 to these parents. She married John B Carbaugh on Mar 31, 1887 in Beverly, Adams Co, IL.
She was of Penalosa, Kansas in 1912.
