The death of Mrs. Nancy Jane Rose, aged 87, Friday night, March 16, at 11 o'clock at home in the Fifth ward, came not unexpectedly but as a source of real regret to the many friends of the family. Mrs. Rose had been in poor health for almost nine weeks and her death was due to old age and complications. Funeral services were held from the home of her son, J. H. Rose Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev J.K. Hawkins, pastor of the First Methodist Church officiating. Burial was made in Wilson Cemetery.
