Mary Louise Howard Lunsford

Ogden – Mary Louise Howard Lunsford, 93, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 in Ogden, Utah. She was born May 17, 1919 to Clark R. and Flora Belle Frease Howard in Fort Scott, Kansas. She married Carl Thomas "Bud" Lunsford on October 1, 1934. Bud passed away September 30, 1972.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Mary loved traveling, gardening, crocheting, and knitting, she was an excellent seamstress.

Mary was simply Mom, Grandma in every way. She was strong, stern, soft, loving, a teacher of life. No TV's, computers or games, work day in, day out, up and at it every day. Plain and simple life, work hard first then play. But there was always time for a smile and a hug. A simple person with a powerful message, hard work and honesty is what makes you as a person, not material things. Simply be true to yourself and everyone else, and you'll be fine. We love you mom and grandma, forever. Thank you for your simple lesson, LIFE.

She is survived by her four daughters; Marilyn Amidan Newman, Beverlee Murdock, Kathleen Thredgold (Kent) Petersen, and Julie (Kelly) Wahlen; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, and all seven siblings, and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Boulevard. Family and friends may call Tuesday, prior to services from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Interment will be in the North Ogden Ben Lomond Cemetery.
