Mary Ann Riden Brown died Saturday, October 30, 2004, at her family home. She was the daughter of Sherman Riden and Minnie Headrick Riden. She was a charter member of Grandview Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: husband, Bee A. Brown; father, Sherman S. Riden; mother, Minnie H. Riden; grandson, Shawn Brown. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Donald A. and Dawn Brown of Winston-Salem, N.C., and son Randall A. Brown of Maryville; grandchildren, Travis Brown, Rachel and Taylor Bee Brown; sister, Gloria R. Hembree of Maryville; aunt, Alice Headrick; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 1, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Earl Taylor and Rev. Hershel R. Chevallier officiating. Family and Friends will assemble on Tuesday, November 2, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at Grandview Cemetery for the interment. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary Co.
