Charlie Towles Embry, 79, of 603 Hackeberry [sic], died at 9:55 p.m. Sunday at North Plains Hospital.
Services are pending with Minton Mortuary.
Mr. Embry had been a Borger resident since 1944 and was a member of Hutchinson County Sheriff's Posse.
He was born Jan. 9, 1897 in Bel Falls [sic].
Survivors include his wife, Nan; one son, Charles; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Glenn of Borger, Mrs. Pat Beakley and Mrs. Janie Hanawalt both of Amarillo; one sister, Mrs. A.E. Stone of Port Arthur; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by a son, Melvin in 1943.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Pampa under the direction of Minton Mortuary.
