Deceased Name: CHARLIE CALLAHAN, 79, RETIRED SPORTS PUBLICIST
Charlie Callahan, who helped tell the sports story at Notre Dame for two decades before coming to the Miami Dolphins as publicity director, has died at age 79.
Mr. Callahan, sports information director for the Irish from 1946 to 1965 and publicity chief for the Dolphins from 1966 to 1984, died Thursday. He suffered from congestive heart failure.

When the boss's methods were criticized, Mr. Callahan responded with a brief, indisputable statement: "No Joe Robbie, no Miami Dolphins."
