John Gardner

John Gardner, 81, a retired farmer of the New Home Community died Thursday September 10 at 8:20 p.m. He was a member of the New Home Baptist Church.

He leaves a daughter, Mrs. W.D. Winstead of Martin; two sons, John C. Gardner of Sharon and James Milburn Gardner of Paducah; four brothers, Lester Gardner of Pasadena, California, Byran Gardner of Martin, Clearon Gardner of Greenway, Arkansas, and Sherrell Gardner of Dresden; and two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Pannell of Fulton and Mrs. Maude Glibble of Piggott, Arkansas.

Funeral services were held at the New Home Baptist Church, Friday, September 11 at 3 p.m. Rev. Bill Boyd and Rev. Leon Penick officiating.

Burial was in the Eastside Cemetery with the Sharon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
