James Henry Milligan, 78, of Tower Hill passed away at 2:45 a.m. Monday (January 18, 2010) at the Shelby Memorial Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Tower Hill Cemetery with military rites by the Shelby County Honor Guard. Arrangements are by Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Shelbyville

He was born January 22, 1931 in Tower Hill, the son of Ira and Minerva Jane (Chism) Milligan.

He was a retired welder from Caterpillar and worked in automotive maintenance. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Air Force. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Shelbyville, NRA and AARP.

Surviving are one daughter, Jessica Dilley (Bill) of Tower Hill; grandchildren, William, Samantha and Kaitlynn; great-grandchildren, Branson, Damien, Asa, Alexis and OzzMarie; brother, Homer Milligan of Benson, AZ; sisters, Dorothy Bond of Tennessee and Betty Lou Dilley of Shelbyville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Charles, Garold (Bill), Ira and Roy Dean and sisters, Retha Agney and Violet Shelton.
