William Stroud of Verda Dies at His Home Dec. 24th
Death claimed Uncle Bill Stroud, resident of Verda, Louisiana, who died at his
home December 24th, at 3:00 o'clock a.m. Uncle Bill was a member of the Verda
church.
He was 74 years of age at the time of his death, having lived in
Verda the greater part of his life. He was a farmer by trade and was loved
and known everywhere for his kindness.
Surviving relatives are Mrs. Rhoda Nell Stroud, his wife, Mrs. Zelma Donaldson
of Houston, Texas, Mrs. W. A. Lewis of Shreveport, Mrs. Eunice Cockfield of
Verda, Mrs. R. W. Gentry of Verda, Mr. G. S. Stroud of Verda, and W. H. Stroud
of Alexandria.
