Grandma always said that Thomas died because he went hunting when it was too wet. He caught pneumonia and he had heart disease. The two things caused him to die and left her with the 6 children to raise. Daddy Deb was small and sickly. He was only 12 when Mr. Eskridge, her second husband died.
They lived near Cornish AR, a small town off Hwy 96 taken over by army during WWII (Fort Chaffee)
