James Daniel "J. D." Allbritton, 59,(b. 17 Oct 1937), of Route l Nahunta, did Tuesday morning (17 Jun 1937) at Southeast Georgia Regional Medical Center in Brunswick following a long illness.
A native of Brantley County, he was preceded in death by his father, Owen David Allbritton and his brother, John Algie Allbritton. He was formerly employed by Rubin Brothers Shoe Factory in Waycross. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Waycross.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Blair of Middleburg, FL and Krystal Cox of Waycross; four grandchildren, Billy Blair, Misty Boyette, Patrick Blair and Daniel Cox; his mother Rachel Lee Cason Allbritton (Cason) and stepfather, Reppard Cason of Offerman; three sisters, Dorothy Rhoden of Nahunta, Deloris Lovell of Blackshear, an Sarah Popwell of Alma; five brothers, Fred Allbritton and Henry Allbritton of Nahunta, Lester Allbritton of Hoboken, Joe Allbritton of Yulee, FL and Grady Allbritton of St. George; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 19, from the Nahunta Church of God with the Revs. Tommy Whaley and Charles Florey officiating. Burial was at High Bluff Cemetery near Hoboken.
Pallbearers were Michael O'Conner, Wesley Allbritton, William Allbritton, Dallas Allbritton, Dewain Allbritton, and Chris Crocker.
