Mrs. Jennie Larkin Succumbs at Home

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at the Shaw chapel for Mrs. Jennie May Larkin, 79, long-time Orofino resident who died at her home on Michigan ave Saturday. Mrs. Larkin died during the night with Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Kern discovering her death Sunday. Born in Pennsylvania in 1865, she had lived in this area for the past 41 years, her husband, the late Frank A. Larkin, having homesteaded here before the formation of the county. The Rebekah lodge aided in services with burial in the Hill cemetery. The Rev. Kenneth Underwood officiated. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Maybelle Kern, Orofino, Mrs. Maude Costley, Modesto, California, and a daughter (Grace Larkin Kellum) in Seattle. Three sons, Frank, Floyd and Glen, all of the coast, also survive.
