Etho Knott, 68, of 109 Maddox Street was pronounced dead on arrival at Volunteer General Hospital at 4:30 Monday afternoon. Death was caused by an apparent heart attack. He was a member of Blues Chapel Baptist Church in Gibson County.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Madeline Knott; a daughter, Mrs. John Reynolds of Martin; three brothers, Roscoe Knott and W.B. Knott of Milan, and Haywood Knott of Bradford; two sisters, Mrs. Cleo Neill and Mrs. Teola Stewart of Milan; a grandson, Jim Reynolds, and a granddaughter, Teresa Reynolds, both of Martin.
Services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Doug Murphy Home with the Rev. J. Victor Brown officiating. Burial was in East Side Cemetery with Doug Murphy Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were E.J. Johnson, Jim Pfleuger, Tommy Martin, Ronnie Young, Larry Hazlewood, and Don Gill.
