Former Richmond Minister Is Dead
Body of Rev. Joseph Z. Tyler Will Be Brought Here For Burial

Rev. Joseph Z. Tyler, the first minister of Seventh Street Christian Church, died yesterday in Cleveland, Ohio, according to word received here. He was well known here and one of Richmond's most beloved pastors.

While funeral arrangements have not been made for Mr. Tyler, who was the father of Mrs. George D. Morgan, of Westhampton, the body will be brought to Richmond and services probably will be held tomorrow from Seventh Street Christian Church.

Mr. Tyler was well known in Richmond, having been active in religious work here for many years. When the congregation moved into Seventh Street Christian Church he was chosen as first minister.

Following his leaving Richmond he went to Cleveland, Ohio, where he resigned from active work. He spent much time in Richmond with his daughter, or visiting his daughter in Cleveland.

Mr. Tyler married Miss Eva Garnett, of Mathews county, who died some years ago. He survived by three children: Mrs. George D. Morgan, of Westhampton, and Mrs. Edwin P. Kennedy of Cleveland, and Garnett Tyler, of San Francisco.
