Clayton Merle Ehrhart, 63, of 450 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, died Saturday afternoon, July 1, in his home.

Born Jan 28, 1926 in St. Thomas, he was a son of the late Crissy O. and Mary E. (Shatzer) Ehrhart.

He retired Dec 31, 1986, from Mack Trucks in Hagerstown with 25 years of service.

He served with the Navy in World War II.

Ehrhart was a Protestant.

He was a member of the Greencastle Sportmen's Association, VFW Post 6319 in Greencastle, American Legion Post 612 in St. Thomas, Chambersburg Moose Lodge 842 and the National Rifle Association.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy A. (Fegan) Ehrhart; five children, Karen D. Ehrhart of Chambersburg and Randy A,. Ehrhart, Kathy E. Piper, Cindy R. Hess and Trina M. Marshall, all of Greencastle; two sisters, Mildred Statler of Chambersburg and Mary Esther Witmer of Greencastle; and three brothers, Ronald Ehrhart of Greencastle, Orrin Ehrhart of St. Thomas and Oscar L. Ehrhart of Waynesboro.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Park-Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, with the Rev. Roy E. Brake Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until that time of the services Wednesday.
