Born in the Dial Community February 12, 1892, he was the son of George H. Williams and Ida Smith Williams. He was married at Pecan Gap, December 3, 1911, to Bertha Shew who survives. He was a retired farmer and blacksmith and a member of the Dial Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services were held at 2p.m. Monday, April 29th, at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Holt officiating. Burial was at the Dial Cemetery.
Grandsons, Charles Williams, Wayne Williams, Terry D. Williams, Henry E. Fox Jr., Keith Williams and Louie Williams served as pallbearers.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha Williams of Honey Grove; three sons, Eugene Williams of Honey Grove, George Williams of Durant, Okla., and D.C. Williams of Dial Community; one daughter Mary Ruth Fox of Corrigan; 21 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by 4 sons, 1 was killed in action during WWII.
