About 1867 in Missouri, Nancy Stalsworth married Francis Frederick Lear, who was born in Jamaica, and served in the Confederate Army in the Civil War. They had 8 children: William, twins Amos Francis, (who died 1874) & George Frederick; William Edward Boyd; Jane Catherine; Arthur Daniel; Francis Cordelia & Cora Gracie Lear.
