John B. Gardner, 93, liked to recall his early days driving a Wells Fargo State coach in the Indian Territory.
He moved to Cisco in 1903 from Oklahoma where he settled in 1881 when it was the Indian Territory. He came to Cisco and became a stock farmer retiring several years ago.
Survived by his wife; one step-son - Melvin Brown of Abilene; three step-daughters - Mrs. Jean Sones of Odessa, Mrs. Sue Shafer of Fort Worth, Mrs. Ruth Boucher of Jal, NM.
Services were held in the Rust Chapel at Cisco with burial in the Cook cemetery.
