Roberta P. Vrooman, 88, Liberty, died Jan. 14, 1991, in the Pleasant Valley Manor, Pleasant Valley in Clay County. She was born in Keytesville, Mo., and lived in this area most of her life. Mrs. Vrooman was director of admissions at the Kansas City Conservatory of Music from 1956 to 1958. Later she was a Steuben glass buyer for Halls on the Plaza, retiring in 1975. She attended the Central College for Women, Lexington, Mo., the Kansas City Junior College and the Randolph-Macon Woman's College, Lynchburg, Va. She also studied at the Kansas City Conservatory of Music. Her son, Richard C. Vrooman, an operatic tenor, died Dec. 31, 1990. Survivors include two sons, Frank Vrooman Jr. and Robert P. Vrooman of Kansas City; a brother, C. Fletcher Parks, Keytesville; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Private memorial services will be at Mount Washington Cemetery; cremation.
The family suggests contributions to the choir at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Kansas City.
