Charles E. Chandler Killed By Fall
The funeral of Charles E. Chandler, of Eureka, who died Wednesday morning as the result of a fall, was held this morning at ten o'clock from the home, Rev. R.F. Porter of the Methodist Church officiating. Mr. Chandler was 68 years old at the time of his death. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Chandler was fatally injured Tuesday morning when he fell from a scaffold to a concrete sidewalk in front of Home National Bank building. He failed to regain consciousness after the accident.
The deceased came to Kansas from Pennsylvania in an early day. He gained the respect of the entire community which extends sympathy to the wife, and two sons, Frederick, of Kansas City, Mo., and Zack Chandler of Eureka, who survive him. For 45 years Mr. Chandler has been a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge which assisted in the funeral service.
