Leonard Joseph Mazalewski, age 68, of Baker, WV, passed away Sunday, March 7, 1999 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.

He was born to the late Joseph and Rose (Deci) Mazalewski on January 2, 1931 in Plymouth, PA. He was also preceded in death by one brother.

Mr. Mazalewski served in the United States Army, had been an operator of a Metro Train for DC Transit, and was a member of the Epiphany Catholic Church and the Knights of
Columbus in Kensington, MD.

Surviving are his wife, Anna (Weese) Mazalewski; one daughter, Sheila A. Marshall, her husband, Thomas and their daughter Amanda, all of Capon Bridge; one sister, Amelia Perlis of Wilkesboro, PA; one brother, Chester "Chet" Latoszewski of Wilkesboro, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at the Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church on Wednesday with the Rev. Mario R. Claro presiding.

Burial was at the Asbury Church Cemetery in Bean Settlement.

Pallbearers were Bob Ferrell, Dennis Funk, Arlie Funk, Jerry Conner, Brian Branson and Anthony Ciccolella.

Honorary pallbearers were Carl Bean, Lynn Bean, John Carl, Barrnett Kurty.

Memorials may be made to the Epiphany Catholic Church Building Fund, HC 65, Box 400, Moorefield, WV 26836 or the charity of donor's choice.
