MISHAWAKA - Russel A. Bolen - Following illness of only five days, Russel A. Bolen, 71, 1721 Milburn Blvd., died at 1:30 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Hospital.
He was born in Knox, Ind., and came to Mishawaka from Stark County, Indiana, 41 years ago. He married Hazel F. Compton in Plymouth, Nov. 4, 1913. She died Sept. 18, 1952 and on Jan. 30, 1953, he married Hazel L. Trittipo in Mishawaka. Mr. Bolen had been employed by the Studebaker-Packard Corp., for 14 years retiring in 1956.
Surviving are his widow; one son, Roy E. Bolen, of Mishawaka; a daughter, Mrs. L. D. Orser, of Cedar Falls, Ia., and two step-daughters Marilyn Leuthold and Mrs. Marjorie Miller, both of Mishawaka; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bolen was a member of the Ancient Order, Mrs. of Gleaners Society. Friends may call in the Bubb Funeral Chapel after 7 p.m. today and until the services there at 1 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Edward W. Brueseke, pastor of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ, South Bend, will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
