Louise Burdine East, 85, widow of J.W. East, of Logana Road, died Thurs. Aug. 12, 2004, at her home after a lengthily illness. She was a member of Nicholasville Baptist Church, and the Friends and Neighbors Homemakers. She was born Aug. 17, 1918, daughter of Rosco M. and Nora Peel Burdine. Survivors include three children, Vauda Dean Brandenburg, Rena East, Bob (Linda) East, eight grandchildren, , fifteen great-grandchildren, a step-brother, Billy Adams, a sister in law, Betty Burdine, two nieces, Jill Shanahan and Jan Burdine, special friends and neighbors, Nora and Paul Hendrix, Butch, David and Willie Quinn.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her care giver, Ronnie Reynolds. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeffrey Reynolds and a brother, Carl Burdine. Services will be 1 pm Mon. at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Coates. Burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Bearers will be grandchildren. Honorary bearers will be great-grandchildren. Donations are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass or Jessamine Co. Senior Citizens Home Care.
