Edith Ann Shaw Page, 83, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, at Homestead Assisted Living Center in Rexburg.

She was born Feb. 24, 1928, in Pleasant View, Utah, to Elizabeth Johns and William Henry Shaw, the eighth of nine children.

She married Morris Morton Page on Aug. 2, 1947, in Salt Lake City. He died in 1996.

She graduated from Ogden High School and earned an associate degree in nursing from Solono Community College in Fairfield, Calif. She also earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Sacramento State and a master's degree in social science from Utah State University in Logan, Utah.

She was a public health nurse, home health nurse, hospital nurse, psychiatric nurse, teaching nurse and dialysis nurse in the Uintah Basin and California Bay area.

Most of her adult life was spent in Fairfield, Calif., and Roosevelt, Utah, with her last 15 years in Rexburg and at the Fairwinds Retirement Center in Idaho Falls.

She is survived by her children, Morrine Abercrombee of Pocatello, Ruth (Gordon Roy) Harrop of Rexburg, Joseph (Rhonda) Page of Stayton, Ore., and James Dee Page of Salem, Ore.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, LeeAnn; and eight siblings.

Services will be held in Roosevelt, Utah, under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home.
