Mr. Schriebl was born April 24, 1921 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, son of the late Peter and Theresa Schriebl. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Nokesville and a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II. Mr. Schriebl was the owner of Schriebl Construction Company and the former owner of Woodbridge Florist. He was a former member of The Woodbridge Kiwanis Club and the Elks Club.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Virginia Birch Schriebl who died in 2004.
Survivors include three children, Dawn Hartley and husband James of Manassas, Virginia, Shirley O'Dell and husband Keith of Nokesville, Virginia and Patricia McDonnell-Mennella and husband Steven of Nokesville, Virginia; five grandchildren, Traci Jasnicki, Charles King, Patrick McDonnell, Sherry O'Dell and Kelly O'Dell; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2009 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2009 with the Rev. Justin Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery, Nokesville, Virginia.
