James William Thomas, aged 53, a well known resident, died at 4 o'clock yesterday at the family home on Greene Street. Mr. Thomas was working Wednesday. He contracted pneumonia. Mr. Thomas was born in Mt. Savage and was a son of the late William Benjamin Thomas. Nine children survive, four daughters and five sons - Mrs. Malcolm Layman and Misses Elsie, Gladys and Eva at home, and James Thomas of Youngstown, and Griffith, William, Frederick, John and Raymond at home. Mr. Thomas was a member of Frostburg Lodge No. 88 K of P, and Freedom Council, No 123, Jr. OUAM.
