Louis 'Lou' Michael German, age 83, beloved Husband, Father Grandfather, Great Grandfather Lou, of Roseville, unexpectedly went home to his Lord and Savior surrounded by family on May 8, 2012.

Korean War Veteran, member of VFW post 7555, active member and volunteer at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Lou had a passion for life and was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a patriotic veteran who enjoyed traveling with Ellie, bowling, and golf with his friends, as well as many other outdoor activities. We will all miss him dearly.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Eleanor "Ellie"; loving children Cynthia (Frank) Smyth, Diane (Bruce) Bulman, Roger (Sharon), and Michael (Mary Pat); grandchildren Eric, Katie, Anna, Paul, Thomas, Allison, Olivia, Jakob, Lou, Sam, and Maria; great grandchildren Eva, Melina, and Oliver; brothers James (Honora) and Charles (Donna); sisters Leona German, Alice Morris, and Marjorie Lommel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
