RNOLD, PEGGY SUE (CHAMBERS) - of Knoxville, born May 23, 1932, to Charlie and
Martha Chambers, passed away peacefully at home on August 13, 2014, just in time
to celebrate with her son, Bruce, in heaven on his birthday. Peggy was a funny,
joyful, down to earth, wise and very giving woman. She was content in the life
that God provided for her even when the times were tough and thankful for each
day. She played an active role in starting the Halls Toys for Christmas and the
building of the Halls Senior Citizens Center. Although she didn't have much
herself, she always found a way to be compassionate and help those around her.
Because of her love for others and her giving heart, Peggy was awarded the Halls
Woman of the Year award. She was a member of Crossroads Presbyterian Church.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her son, Bruce Wayne; her
granddaughter, Nicole (Nikki); her parents; and her eight brothers and sisters.
Survived by her four children who are rejoicing that she has met her creator,
Karen (Keith) Edmondson, Charlene Johnson, Penny (Mickey) Franklin, and Charles
(Brandie) Arnold. She was a fun loving Mamaw Peggy to her 12 grandchildren, Beth
(Wayne) Bullock, Kelli (Gavin) Mabe, Vince (Joyce) Emge, Travis (Kristin)
Edmondson, Shane (Angela) Arnold, Samantha, Olivia and Walt Johnson, Trey and
Casey Cude, and Alex and Evan Arnold; and her great grandchildren, Camden and
Caroline Mabe, Weston and Wade Edmondson, Elaina and Ethan Emge, Bruce Arnold,
and John Caleb Bullock; close friends, Edna (Sis) Carr and Rachel. Our family
will never forget her intense love for each of us, her humor and most
importantly her amazing witness for Christ here on earth. Peggy requested a
private service for her family only. The family requests that no flowers be
sent, please make a donation in her honor to the Halls community charity of your
choice.www.mynattfh.com
