[Menomonee Falls News, Thursday, December 7, 1933, p. 1] Warren Walter Bauer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Garvin Bauer (nee Lillian Motz) died on December 1, 1933 at St. Agnes hospital at Fond du Lac, at the age of 3 years 9 months and 10 days. He was a very bright boy, loved by all who knew him and his short life leaves many wounded hearts to mourn his departure. His lot was one of suffering for in a short space of time he went through five operations in two hospitals at three different times. During all his sieges of illness he never once complained but bore his pain so quietly that he endeared himself very much to those who watched near him. The love and care that those near him ministered was not regarded a duty but much a privilege. However it can be said that all human and possible aid was administered that was available. He leaves by his untimely death his parents, one brother, grandmothers and grandfather and a large host of relatives and friends. Two younger brothers preceded him in death in infancy. Funeral services were held on Monday, December 4, 1933 at Zion Evangelical Church at Colgate. Rev. E.P. Manley officiated. Interment at church cemetery.
